www.theolympian.com/opinion/story/574897-p2.html

The Olympian strongly supports Adam Smith's reelection, stating the following:

"Smith, who is seeking a seventh term, cites a long list of Democratic accomplishments in the past two years including an increase in the minimum wage, ethics reform, increase in financial grants to students, an energy bill, implementation of the 9/11 report and the largest increase in veterans funding through the Wounded Warrior Act.

Smith has grown into a House leadership position leading a subcommittee to counter terrorism. He looks forward to working across the political divide in D.C. to get the economy on sound footing and put more teeth in the nation's energy policy. His temperament and common sense make that possible.

Adam Smith is thoughtful, well-experienced and enjoys growing influence as one of the so-called "New Democrats" who seek to modernize Congress and the country through leadership on issues that include economic growth, national security, personal responsibility and technology development. Voters should re-elect Adam Smith on Nov. 4."
